Greening Hamilton: Bringing Beaumont Street to Life 🌿

Hunter Multicultural Communities (HMC) is excited to launch Greening Hamilton, a hands-on community project that will care for and replant the iconic mosaic planter boxes along Beaumont Street.

Delivered in partnership with the Hamilton Business Improvement Association and supported through the Special Business Rate Program, the project will see volunteers working alongside lead contractor Mel Shoesmith to maintain and beautify these much-loved features of the precinct.

The aim of Greening Hamilton is to create a greener, more vibrant Beaumont Street that reflects the spirit of the community. Over the next year, HMC will build a strong volunteer base to help ensure the planter boxes continue to flourish and provide colour, life, and sustainability to the heart of Hamilton.

Induction Session - Friday 24 October, 9.30am

Join us on Friday 24 October, 9.30am -10.30am for an induction session on Beaumont Street. The group will meet at the Clocktower Cafe on Beaumont Street to meet each other and talk about the project. We will then tour the planter boxes as a group and answer any questions.

How to Get Involved

Do you love gardening or simply want to give back to your community? We’d love you to join us!

Volunteers of all ages and experience levels are welcome. No special skills are needed - just enthusiasm, a willingness to work with others, and a desire to see Hamilton thrive. The group meets on Friday mornings, 9.30am at the Clocktower Cafe on Beaumont Street for a debrief on work for the day. All materials supplied, we encourage volunteers to bring their own gardening gloves.
