About Us

The Hunter Multicultural Communities and Hunter Region have been servicing the local area for almost 40 years.  The organisation was initially established in 1977 as the umbrella body for ethnic communities in the Newcastle and Hunter Region.  We have grown and we are now also a major provider of health, wellbeing and social programs to a broad cross-section of the Hunter Region Community. We have more than 70 community group members, a majority of which are representative of the established and emerging culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in this region.

Please browse around our website to find out more about us.  Our core services are around AGED CARE and COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
