Advocacy, Representation & Training
As the regional peak body for multiculturalism, the HMC is involved in a range of activities and programs at various levels to support, consult with, represent and inform our members and CALD communities. These include:
- Being involved in various committees, steering groups and roundtable discussions and networks to influence state and national policy
- Gathering insights into community sentiment and conduct consultation to inform policy and response submissions
- Participating in research projects and surveys
- Regular policy contributions and submissions to government.
Training and educational services in cultural diversity as well as cultural awareness and sensitivity are available to business and community groups to promote harmony in the community.
